Beer Drunken Fried Chicken Wings
RECIPE
16 whole chicken wings
2 (12 oz) bottles of beer
1 TSP salt
1 TSP granulated garlic
1 TSP onion powder
1 TSP chili flakes
1/2 TSP cayenne pepper
1 TSP dried basil
8 cloves garlic (chopped)
4 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
Flour Batter
1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 TSP salt
Start off by getting 16 whole chicken wings in a large mixing bowl. Pour the two bottles of beer into the bowl with the chicken, then season with your salt, granulated garlic, onion powder, chili flakes, cayenne, dried basil, and fresh garlic. Mix it all together making sure the wings are evenly marinating. Cover the bowl of chicken and place in the fridge to marinate for 2 hours. In a small bowl mix 1 1/3 cup of flour and salt together. Once your chicken has marinated drain all the beer out of the bowl. Then pour your flour over the chicken making sure each piece is evenly coated in flour. In a large frying pan add 4 cups of vegetable oil and let that heat up to about 350 degrees. Do not fill the pan more than 1/2 full with oil. Fry your chicken for about 6-7 minutes each side or until golden brown and crispy.
