Sausage Herb Pasta
Recipe
2 turkey italian sausages
8 cloves garlic
1 TBSP olive oil
14 fresh basil leaves (chopped)
2 TBSP dried oregano
1/2 TSP salt
1/2 TSP chili flakes
2 handfuls fresh spinach
2 TBSP butter
1/2 cup white wine
1 ladle of pasta water
Parmesan cheese (for topping)
1- 8oz box of Ancient Harvest quinoa spaghetti
Directions
Boil the quinoa spaghetti and follow the directions on the box. Or feel free to use any kind of pasta you would like. In a cast iron skillet heat up olive oil and butter and start browning the turkey sausage. Once the sausage is cooked use a garlic crusher and crush the garlic directly into the pan with the sausage. Also add in the basil, oregano, salt, chili flakes, and white wine. Let that simmer and then add in the pasta water and spinach at the last minute before adding in the pasta noodles. Once you've drained the pasta let it cook in with the sausage and seasonings. Once it's done top with Parmesan cheese and more fresh basil.
